LIVING THE DREAM

1st Outline

(Feature Film)

AIM: To create a Feature Film project that will encompass some of the talent from an X-factor final and Britain’s Got Talent show.

However, there has been a suggestion, the talent could be sourced from other avenues and a rival show created!

GEORGE and DEN were once members of a sixty’s hippy-cult-rock-band called ‘The Green Leaves’. They have kept in contact through the years even though their lives are very different. Den is a green grocer in South Shields doing the markets of the Northeast whilst George is a marketing executive for a beer company in Memphis U.S.A. DEN’s dream has always been, to run his own independent record label. He has a pet Great Dane that speaks to him that creates some great moments of humour. He dabbles with computers and secretly is a ‘White Knight hacker’, but he has never given up the ghost of his past and always talks about those days.

Den’s idea is simple, recruit artists and put them on a tour of the UK backed up with a compilation album. Start and finish the tour with a combined performance of all artists and then revolve all acts on their own dates throughout the heart of The United Kingdom. Den has taken his dream one stage further by writing a business plan, which he sends to his friend in Memphis knowing that George for old time sake might help him set it up. However, George see’s this plan as a vehicle to promote his company’s new beer, ‘Memphis Steam’.

The movie will ‘steal’ in real time aspects of the auditions and interviews throughout the country from an X-factor/Britain’s Got Talent as the search for talent takes place with in the Film.

The movie spins out so that in the last 20 minutes of the film we see a number of characters that have been developed throughout the movie comically thrown together against all the acts performing at the first venue. (Rather like ‘The Blues Brothers’ did)

With an International feature Film there are about 50 Good Film Festivals that the finalists from the shows could perform at to showcase their talent and promote the Movie as it is simultaneously released globally and premiered.

Now that’s what I call a stage!

THIS FILM FORMATT COULD ACT AS A TEMPLET EITHER IN THE UK OR U.S.A. EVERY YEAR THERE IS AN X-FACTOR/ BRITAINS GOT TALENT /WHATEVER. THE FILM COULD BE REMADE WITH A NEW CAST AND PERFORMERS AND COULD GO ONTO TO BE THE FIRST FILM THAT IS RELEASED FOR CHARITY AFTER A SUCESSFUL FIRST RELEASE.
